First aiders are one the most crucial roles within the workplace. At 888 STS we are committed to ensuring that only highest possible levels of training are provided to all our customers because the training and skill set of a first aider that literally mean the difference between life and death. Based in Wakefield West Yorkshire our instructors can deliver this course at our site in Wakefield or at customer sites across the wider West Yorkshire area.

This course is designed for those working in the general workplace environment where there is no increased risk other than would normally be associated in the work environment.

The Course covers but is not limited to

• Role and responsibilities of a first aider

• Cardio pulmonary resuscitation CPR

• Chest pains

• Allergic reaction

• Asthma attacks

• Bone, muscle and joint injuries

• Burns and scalds

• Choking adult

• Communication and casualty care

• Eye injuries

• Head injuries

• Defibrillator prompts and how to respond

• Defibrillator pad placement

• Low blood sugar

• Managing an emergency

• Minor and severe bleeding

• Poisons and what to do if someone has been poisoned

• Seizures and how to deal with them

• Shock

• Fainting

• Spinal injuries

• Stroke

• Unresponsive person

This course is conducted over 4 days with a final assessment been conducted on the final day. The course is £320 per candidate with requalification at £120 per person.
